Frequently Asked Qustions

When should I start my renewal?

You should begin 60 to 90 days before your license expires.

Do you serve all of New York State?

Yes. New York City, Albany, Buffalo, and every locality in between. Applications are handled by mail and email.

What information do I need?

All I need to begin is your name, email, phone number, and current license information. I use a secure online information link to collect all of the other requried information.

Is your fee all-inclusive?

Yes. It covers preparation, bond for retail renewals, submission, and follow-up. License renewal fees and bonds for wholesalers and manufacturers are paid separately.

Can you rush a renewal?

Yes. Next business day rush is available for an additional $100. The application will be filed 1 business day after all required documents and payments are recevied.

How long does it take the Liquor Authority to process my renewal?

The Liquor Authority is very good about processing renewal applications. Typically, they are approved within 3-5 business days if everything is in order.

What happens if my license is already expired?

The Liquor Authority routinely accepts and approvals for expired licenses. But you cannot under any circumstances sell, serve, or provide alcohol unil your license is renewed.
